Cost Analyst

Region: Cape Town

Reporting to: Financial Manager

Devil’s Peak Brewing Company is looking for an exciting, dynamic and ambitious analyst to join the Finance Department at our Cape Town based craft brewery.

The ideal person is self-motivated and organised, has a positive attitude and the drive to add value to the business. You need to be a multi-skilled team player, that is flexible and happy to adapt to a continuously changing environment.

The Cost Analyst will form part of the Finance team reporting directly to the Financial Manager and will have the following duties but not limited to:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Calculating, Managing and Monitoring Costings
  • Monthly substantiation of COS
  • Inventory Management
  • Bill of Material Management and Review
  • Product and Cost creation on Acumatica
  • Monitoring and Closing of production orders
  • Analyze and Investigate Production Variances
  • Budget Vs Actual Reporting
  • Act as a business partner to the rest of the business

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor degree / Diploma in Management Accounting
  • Partially completed CIMA qualification an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • >2 years’ experience in a finance role(s); preferably in a manufacturing environment.
